The book I’m currently working on is called God Tokens. It’s a fantasy series set in the fictional Kingdom of Talacharn. The story features multiple points of view, a low-key fantasy vibe (with the magic gradually picking up speed later), and a character-driven narrative. (I want to say: think Robin Hobb—hoping that’s not too presumptuous!)
Meet the three main characters:
DANIAL OF ELM

Danial grew up in the secluded mountain village of Elm. Although he isn’t Kennid and Nerna’s natural son, having been left on their doorstep as an infant, he is destined to follow his father onto the Elder Council. Danial is engaged to Erin, Elm’s priestess and healer. His path in life seems clear and predictable: marry the girl, build a house, raise a family.
But when the enigmatic Reydon Vosper barges into Danial’s cozy life with a shocking revelation about his origins, Danial can no longer turn a blind eye to his true destiny…
ERIN HERBWISE

Erin is Elm’s healer and priestess, serving a pantheon of sixteen gods. Known as a Herbwise, she has been studying under her grandmother’s guidance. Her unique role in the village often leaves her feeling isolated.
Erin is curious, strong-willed, and deeply dedicated. Despite frequently facing cold shoulders from her peers, her ultimate goal is to protect her village—even if it means standing up to the powerful Patriarchs.
REYDON VOSPER

Reydon Vosper is a merchant from the Lowlands whose family was slaughtered under flimsy pretences by order of the three Patriarchs, who now wield unchecked power over a weak and sick king. Despite the tragedy that befell his family, Reydon has kept his sunny temper and lives as a true hedonist, delighting in teasing others and making them laugh.
But beneath his jovial exterior, Reydon burns for revenge. His goal is to ignite a revolution and return profane power to its rightful place. And he believes Danial is the spark that can set this fire ablaze…
